Former Boston interior designer Karen Sugarman has, upon moving to Arizona, reinvented herself as a custom jewelry maker, and has started Karen Sugarman Designs as a result.

"What began as a fun little design idea for my own benefit has become a full blown obsession. I hand make each piece of jewelry with the creative knowledge of color, proportion and scale that my interior design background has provided. All of my designs are infused with unique gemstones, pearls, vintage and Czech beads and are structured on either sterling silver or gold vermeil thus eliminating most jewelry allergies."
